Research
Our current research focuses on entrepreneurial and strategic behaviour of new, young and small businesses; SME development in different contexts and policies to foster new and small enterprises. More specifically, we are interested in the nature of entrepreneurial behaviour (i.e., the “strategies” entrepreneurs use to set up and grow a business) and its determinants in different contexts (e.g., communities and regions, industries or political contexts). Our research also highlights the importance of context on the nature of small and new ventures, their options for business development (e.g., when growing the company) together with implications for policy.
